Time Trials, Morning Practices and More
June 14th
Happy last day of school, HCPSS! Reminder: Arrive to the pool tomorrow morning at 8:15. Warm-ups start at 8:30. Please see below for additional updates on time trials and beyond:
- Time Trials Meet Entries: I've attached our time trials entries to this email. Please review and let me or the coaches know if you have any concerns. Has your availability changed? Let us know that too. We finalize the meet files with the other team each Friday night, so we need to know about changes no later than 5:00 pm each Friday.
- Each week, we need you to do the following by these deadlines:
- Tuesday at noon: RSVP for Saturday's meet
- Thursday at noon: Sign up to volunteer at meet
- Friday at 5 pm: Review meet entries and confirm no changes
- Each week, we need you to do the following by these deadlines:
- Morning Practice Times start Monday morning (6/17). As a reminder, we are shifting these times earlier from last season by 15 minutes. I failed to update the calendar event for the first morning practice with these new times and apologize for any confusion. Please come to the group the coaches have asked you to join. If you haven't heard from the coaches, come to the practice you've been attending. If you have questions, please talk with Paul, Maggie or Lily tonight at practice or at time trials on Saturday.
- Gold (instructional): 7:30-8:15
- Blue (intermediate): 8:15-9:15
- Silver (advanced): 9:15-10:15
- THE BLOCKS ARE IN! You've probably noticed that our new blocks have been installed! We are so proud of everyone's hard work last season to fundraise for them. Well done, Cudas! High fives all around! What a great way to kick off our season!
- Taharka! Celebrate the end of school and the start of summer by purchasing a case of Taharka ice cream! $10 from each purchase will support the team. The fundraiser is open now through 11 pm on Monday. Delivery is next Thursday evening. Make sure you order from this link or use code ASC when you check out. If everyone could share with one or two friends and neighbors, we will easily reach our goal!
- Volunteer Shout Out to Will Torres and Michael Ward! I shall spare you the untold horrors of the swim team shed and the monsters and their offspring that had made it their home, but I will thank Will and Michael for reclaiming it as ours and cleaning it out. You guys win the prize for most dedicated this week!
