Swan Lake - Meet Entries; T-Shirts; All the Woots
Swan Lake entries are attached! Please let the coaches or me know if your swimmer is (1) signed up for events and won't be there or (2) not signed up for events and will be there. This is a big meet for us! There are 5 teams in our Division and 4 of the teams have the same record. The coaches have assigned your swimmer to events to give us the best shot of a win.
T-Shirts! I've updated the Team Store on SwimTopia with the remaining t-shirts we have (and sizes). If you can buy it, I have one available for you! I also have a limited quantity of tie-dye shirts from last year. Please get these out of my dining room/playroom/junk room.
Woot Woots!
I'm finally getting the chance to offer the highly coveted QUADRUPLE WOOTS to these amazing volunteers who stood up in a big way this season to support the team with our ridiculous number of home meets:
- Mike "Run it like a Swiss Train" Reed (the one with the famous children) officiated all of our home meets, allowing us to start early for most of them and saving the team a meaningful amount of money. My job was a lot easier having Mike in this role. His commitment to justice - or at least running fair and efficient meets - is unparalleled. In all seriousness, he worked really hard to do this job well and was a key reason why our home meets were so smooth and successful. He's an absolute pro. Please high five him! We appreciate you, Mike!
- Katie Parker and Sara Thomas for feeding us FIVE Saturdays in a row (a quintuple woot?) at the Cuda Bar. I asked them earlier this spring if they would take this on, and they didn't blink. Not only did they plan a menu and pricing, they also organized volunteers and spent hours before AND after meets cleaning up. It's also undisputed - they served up the best hotdogs in South Columbia. You guys are total rockstars and we appreciate you!
Reminders:
See you in Baltimore on Saturday, Cudas!
