Divisionals, Banquet and End of Season Things
Almost there, Cudas! Please read all the way through while I still have your attention!
A few updates/reminders in advance of Divisionals tomorrow:
- Meet starts at 9:00; warm-ups at 7:40
- Our team is assigned to set up camp on the basketball courts. I’m told it’s a sports court (not a black top), but it is in the sun so bring your canopies.
- Attachments:
- Divisionals seating chart
- Reminder checklist from Five Oaks – see notes about parking
- Pic of Divisionals shirt design (our swimmers names will be on the back and these will be custom printed on site)
- Event timeline (meet expected to be completed by 12:30!!)
- No heat sheet to share. They are selling them for $2 tomorrow.
Banquet is tomorrow night at the pool:
- Pizza and water generously provided by Vanguard Orthodontics - ready right at 5:00 pm
- Salads, fruit and cupcakes provided by our volunteer opt-out parents (thank you!)
- Awards presentation will happen from the shady (tree) side of the pool. Get comfy on the sunny side so you have a good view!
- Hang out after the awards for free swim and fun
As we close out the season, I wanted to thank all of our families for contributing financially or by volunteering. I also want to recognize our key volunteers and coordinators below:

- “Breakfast Fit for a Cuda”: Jessica Clark, Karen Stoner
- Cuda Bar: Katie Parker, Sara Thomas
- Home Meet Official: Mike Reed

- Parking Lot: Doug Anderson

In addition to these folks, I also wanted to recognize the following families who were not coordinators, but volunteered for 10 or more shifts: Hoffman, Heineman, Jackson and Luman families.
Finally, I wanted to update the team about the coordinator role for next season. I am thrilled to share that Karen Stoner has come forward as a candidate for this position! As many of you know, Karen goes above and beyond for this team by volunteering in many ways. In addition to her (2!) coordinator roles, she's always setting up, taking down and timing at meets. She's been a constant support to me throughout this entire season and will do an incredible job as coordinator. With that said, I should note that the position is elected at the Membership Meeting at the fall and the election is open to any and all candidates. If you are interested in adding your name to the ballot, please let me or another current board member know. If you're not interested in serving on the board, but want to be more involved with supporting the team or pool, there are plenty of opportunities! Just reach out!
Looking forward to crushing at Divisionals tomorrow and celebrating tomorrow night!
Maura
